Coaching Depot

1.Basin Bridge Train Care Centre – BBQ (IMS certified)

Platform Activities:

·Rolling in Examination and Rolling out Examination.

·Attention to Originating/Terminating Trains.

·Issuing BPC for Originating Trains.

·Attention to 35 Pass through, 5 PFTR and 28 OEA Trains.

·Watering of Pass through, PFTR and OEA Trains.

·Cleaning of Platform Turn Round Trains.

Yard Activities:

·Rake maintenance- PM – 33 Trains, SM – 2 Trains and OEA - 10 Trains.

·Intensive Cleaning of the Coaches.

·Dis-infestation of coaches.

·Out sourced activities – Mechanized Coach Cleaning (120 coach per day), Yard, rest room & building cleaning, 130 coaches cleaning, OBHS activities on 26 trains, Garbage collection at Platform, Linen washing (BOOT)& distribution and fire extinguisher servicing, Hiring of Lorry and Centralized Gas pipe line maintenance, Maintenance of WRP and AMOC of Bio-Toilet.

·Attention to sick coaches.

2.GopalSwamy Nagar Coaching Depot – GSN (IMS certified)

Platform Activities:

·Rolling in Examination and Rolling out Examination.

·Attention to Originating/Terminating Trains.

·Issuing BPC for Originating Trains.

·Attention to 30 Pass through, 6 PFTR.

·Watering of Pass through, PFTR and OEA Trains.

·Cleaning of Platform Turn Round Trains.

Yard Activities:

·Rake maintenance- PM - 12, SM - 1 and OEA - 14 Trains.

·Intensive Cleaning of the Coaches.

·Dis-infestation of coaches.

·Outsourced activities – Yard rest room, building cleaning, 110 coaches Mechanized cleaning (Combined contract of MS & TBM), OBHS activities on 6 trains, Garbage collection at Platform, Linen washing& Distribution under MAS boot and fire extinguisher servicing, Maintenance of WRP and AMOC of Bio-Toilet.

3.Tambaram Coaching Depot - TBM

Platform Activities:

·Rolling in Examination and Rolling out Examination for Originating/Terminating Trains.

·Attention to Originating/Terminating Trains.

·Issuing BPC for Originating Trains.

Yard Activities:

·Rake maintenance- PM - 4, SM - 4 and OEA - 3 Trains.

·Intensive Cleaning of the Coaches.

·Out sourced activities – yard cleaning, 110 coaches Mechanized cleaning (Combined contract of MS & TBM) by contract, OBHS activities on 1 train by contract, Garbage collection at Platform, Linen washing and fire extinguisher servicing.

·RCD 20KL.

Sick Line Activities:

·Attention to sick coaches.

·IOH attention to coaches.

Wagon Depot

1.Jolarpettai – JTJ (IMS certified)

JTJ is a Freight examination depot combined with coaching reception and dispatch. This depot is one of the major ROH schedule attending center of Southern Railway.

Yard Activities:

·Rolling In/out examination of all incoming and outgoing trains. 

·14 BOXN Close Circuit Rakes Maintained.

·Examination of Premium Rakes (16 BCN and 7 BOXN Premium Rakes per Month)

·Intensive Examination of End to End Trains (32 Rakes per Month) and

·Revalidation

·Light Repair (LR) ORA attention. Avg. Wagons per Month - 478.

·Using ROAMS-FMM for generating BPC for all type of Trains.

·En-route attention on complaint basis.

·RCD-20KL

Platform Activities:

·Rolling-In-Examination and Rolling-Out-Examination for 82 trains per day.

·Topping up of Water for Up and Down trains, on demand.

·Cleaning of 56 coaches & watering of 80 coaches per day through outsourcing.

Sick Line Activities:

·ROH of Air Brake wagons

·Target 215 Wagons/Month

·Sick line attention.

·           Unloadable wagons attention under contract.

·           Reclamation and fabrication of wagon components.

BD ACTIVITIES:

  •    B Class ART & Scale 1 ART available

2.Tondiarpet Marshalling Yard – TNPM (IMS certified)

Yard Activities:

·Rolling In/out examination of all incoming and outgoing trains. 

·9 BOXN and 5 BLL Close Circuit Rakes Maintained.

·Examination of Premium Rakes (20.5 Premium Rakes per Month)

·Intensive Examination of End to End Trains (47 Rakes per Month) and Revalidation.

·Other Examination –BT Stock, UTV, Tower Wagon (PON, TVT&SPE), ICF newly manufactured coaches survey. Avg. Rake per Month - 105.

·Light Repair (LR) ORA attention. Avg. Wagons per Month - 492 (2019-20).

·OEA attention to coaching stocks at LR lines at an Avg. of 30 Rakes per Month.

·NMG/Coaching special examination at DN 11 Pit line. Avg. of 0.5 Rakes per day.

·Using ROAMS-FMM for generating BPC for all type of Trains.

·En-route attention on complaint basis.

SICKLINE Activities:

Heavy Repairs (HR)

·Heavy Repair wagons attended at an Avg. of 28 Wagons per Month.

·Data feeding Using ROAMS-FMM for HR module.

Routine over Hauling:

·ROH of All Air Brake stock

·IOH of NMG/BVZI

·Target 165 Wagons/Month

·Data feeding Using ROAMS-FMM for ROH module
