The Southern Railway State Bharath Scouts and Guides Organisation took out a Cyclothon as part of the National Youth Day Celebrations. The National Youth Day Cyclothon from Southern Railway Headquarters, Park Town to Avadi  was flagged off by Shri B.G.Mallya,  Addl General Manager, Southern Railway and President of Southern Railway Bharath Scouts and Guides (SRBSG) in the presence of Smt V.G.Bhooma, Senior Deputy General Manager, Southern Railway, Shri P.Uday Kr. Reddy, Chief Administrative Officer, Integral Coach Factory and State Chief Commissioner, SRBSG, Smt T.Hema Suneetha, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer, Construction Unit and State Commissioner, Guides of SRBSG, Smt M.Sunitha, Asst Personnel Officer and Jt State Secretary, SRBSG, other Officials and  Scouts and Guides volunteers.  

24 cycling enthusiasts including Smt. V.G.Bhooma, Senior Deputy General Manager, Southern Railway, took part in the 28 Km Cyclothon, from Southern Railway Headquarters Office, Park Town to Avadi. 

Shri  B.G.Mallya, Addl. General Manager, Southern Railway  in his address to the participants urged them to spread the idea of cycling among the younger generation as it is o­ne of the best forms of exercise, suitable for people of all ages, and said that it is very important to keep ourselves fit especially during the pandemic.

This Cyclothon is part of National Youth Day Celebrations and also part of FIT INDIA Movement.
