Traffic Diversion at Road Over Bridge at Katpadi

The existing Road Over Bridge near Katpadi Junction in Arakkonam – Jolarpettai section comprising two spans of 41.09 m (Bowstring Arch type) constructed during the year 1995.  Due to heavy traffic passing through this ROB, vibration is noticed during the passage of heavily loaded container vehicles.  Hence, it is proposed to conduct Dynamic Load Test o­n 8th June, 2019 between 00.00 hrs to 03.00 hrs at night.  M/s.R&M International Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai has been awarded contract by Railways to conduct vibration study for assessing the safety condition. 

To facilitate the above work, a road block of 3 hours o­n 8th & 9th June, 2019 from 00.00 hrs to 03.00 hrs is planned to execute the work.

Traffic authorities have permitted traffic diversion over the Road Over Bridge between 00.00 hrs to 03.00 hrs of 8th /9thJune, 2019. 

Road users and public are requested to take the diverted route during the timings mentioned above.
