ALL INDIA INTER RAILWAY QUIZ, 2019 HELD TODAY IN THIRUVANANTHAPURAM


An all India Inter-Railway Quiz Competition, as part of the 64th Railway Week Celebrations of Indian Railways, was organized by the Thiruvananthapuram Division of Southern Railway today i.e., 8th April, 2019 at Hotel Apollo Dimora, Thiruvananthapuram. The day long Quiz Competition consisted of multiple rounds with 19 teams representing various zonal railways and production units across Indian Railways.


Shri Manoj Pande, IRPS, Director General (Personnel), Railway Board, Ministry of Railways graced the occasion as the chief guest of the event, delivered the presidential address and shared some valuable insights. Smt. Sunita Vedantam, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Southern Railway, addressed the gathering and wished all participants the very best.  Shri Srinivasa Rao, Chief Personnel Officer (Admin), Southern Railway, Shri B.A. Aravind, Sr. Divisional Personnel Officer, Thiruvananthapuram Division and other officers and staff participated in the event.

At the end of multiple rounds of quizzing, the team from Southern Railway emerged winners.  The team from Integral Coach Factory(ICF), Chennai got the second position while the team from North East Frontier Railway, Guwahati stood third.  However, all the participating teams were given certificates and mementos.  The winner and runner up teams will be felicitated at the main National Level function that will be organised as part of the 64th Railway Week Celebrations of Indian Railways to be held later.
