ZOLIC MEETING HELD AT SOUTHERN RAILWAY HEADQUARTERS

Zonal Official Language Implementation Committee (ZOLIC) meeting held at Southern Railway Headquarters, Chennai to day i.e 17.12.2018. While addressing the participants Shri. R.K.Kulshrestha, General Manager Southern Railway, Congratulated team efforts of Headquarters and Madurai Division for bagging Rajbhasha shield and Pathak.

General Manager stated that learning Hindi by Railway staff will help in public dealing where passengers of all regions are dealt. Frontline staff to be fully trained to help passengers. Security staff can understand and respond early the grievance of people. Shri. P.K. Mishra, Additional General Manager, Principle Heads of the Departments, Officers of all Division and Departments participated. On this occasion GM released 125th edition of Dhakshin Dwani in House Journal and Help Literature of Southern Railway in the form of Calendar, 2019.

Help Literature no.74 of the Southern Railway Headquarters Hindi Section in the form of Calendar and House Magazine ‘Dakshin Dhwani’ was released today 17.12.2018 during a meeting held under the chairmanship of General Manager, Southern Railway.

Hindi translation of 11 different poetries in 11 different languages viz., Malayalam, Assameese, Telugu, Bangla, Maithili, Odia, Sanskrit, Urdu, Kannada, Punjabi and Tamil and o­ne Hindi Poetry have been published in this Calendar. These were the Original Poetries of renowned poets of Regional Languages who had won laurels in the field of Regional Literature and have won the Coveted Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Jnanapeeth,  Sahitya Academy Awards and have contributed to the development of Indian Literature .

There was a Star studded array of Poets viz. Kunwar Bechain(Hindi), G. Shankar Kurup(Malayalam), Harekrishna Deka(Assameese), N. Gopi(Telugu), Khaji Nazrul Islam(Bangla), Vidyapathi(Great Saint Poet of Mythili), Sitakant Mahapatra(Odia), Satyanarayan Pandey(Sanskrit), Firaq Gorakhpuri(Urdu), Ankur Betagiri(Kannada), Amrita Pritam(Punjabi) and Subramanya Bharati(Great Poet and renowned  Social Reformer of Tamil)  .  Useful Policy related information regarding Official Language Hindi has also been provided in this Calender apart from this.
