INTODUCTION OF TRAINS ANNOUNCED IN RAILWAY BUDGET

The following trains announced in the Railway Budget 2011-12 will be introduced as per the details given below.

 

A)Introduction of new trains

1)T.No.16612/16611 Coimbatore – Tuticorin Daily Link Express: T.No.16612 Coimbatore – Tuticorin Link Express will leave Coimbatore Jn. at 20.30 hrs. and arrive Tuticorin at 06.10 hrs. the next day.T.No.16611 Tuticorin – Coimbatore Link Express will leave Tuticorin at 21.30 hrs. and arrive Coimbatore Jn. at 07.30 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 3-tier, 2 Sleeper Class, 1 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Tiruppur, Erode, Pugalur, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Milavittan and Tutimelur. These trains will be introduced w.e.f. 1.7.2011 from Coimbatore and from Tuticorin w.e.f. 2.7.2011

 

2)T.No.22601/22602 Chennai Central – Sai Nagar Shirdi Weekly Superfast Express: T.No.22601 Chennai Central – Sai Nagar Shirdi Superfast Express will leave Chennai Central at 10.10 hrs. on Wednesdays and arrive Sai Nagar Shirdi at11.30 hrs. on Thursdays. T.No.22602 Sai Nagar Shirdi – Chennai Central Express wil leave Sai Nagar Shirdi at 08.25 hrs. on Fridays and arrive Chennai Central at 09.40 hrs. on Saturdays. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarapet, Krishnarajapuram, Yelahanka, Hindupur, Sri Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Daund, Ahmednagar and Puntamba. T.No.22602 will stop at Perambur also. These trains will be introduced w.e.f. 6.7.2011 from Chennai Central and from Sai Nagar Shirdi w.e.f. 8.7.2011

 

3)T.No.22682/22681 Chennai Central – Mysore Weekly Superfast Express: T.No.22682 Chennai Central – Mysore Superfast Express will leave Chennai Central at 23.30 hrs. on Thursdays and arrive Mysore at 08.35 hrs. on Fridays. T.No.22681 Mysore – Chennai Central Express wil leave Mysore at 20.10 hrs. on Wednesdays and arrive Chennai Central at 05.15 hrs. on Thursdays. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarapet, Krishnarajapuram, Bangalore Cantt., Bangalore City, Kengeri and Mandya. T.No.22681 will stop at Perambur also. These trains will be introduced w.e.f. 7.7.2011 from Chennai Central and from Mysore w.e.f. 6.7.2011

Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on 30.6.2011.

4)Coimbatore – Mettupalayam Passenger (except Sundays):

i)T.No.56146 Coimbatore – Mettupalayam Passenger will leave Coimbatore at 09.30 hrs. and arrive Mettupalayam at 10.20 hrs. T.No.56147 Mettupalayam – Coimbatore Passenger will leave Mettupalayam at 10.40 hrs. and arrive Coimbatore at 11.30 hrs.

ii)T.No.56148 Coimbatore – Mettupalayam Passenger will leave Coimbatore at 12.00 hrs. and arrive Mettupalayam at 12.50 hrs. T.No.56149 Mettupalayam – Coimbatore Passenger will leave Mettupalayam at 13.10 hrs. and arrive Coimbatore at 14.00 hrs.

iii)T.No.56150 Coimbatore – Mettupalayam Passenger will leave Coimbatore at 15.00 hrs. and arrive Mettupalayam at 15.50 hrs. T.No.56151 Mettupalayam – Coimbatore Passenger will leave Mettupalayam at 16.20 hrs. and arrive Coimbatore at 17.10 hrs.

 

The above trains, now running as specials, will be introduced w.e.f. 1.7.2011. The trains will stop at Coimbatore North, Periyanayakanpalayam and Karaimadai.

 

B)Increase in frequency of trains

 

1)Frequency of T.No.76835/76836 Tiruchchirappalli – Karur – Tiruchchirappalli Passengers now running six days a week will be increased to Daily w.e.f. 3.7.2011.

2)Frequency of T.No.56607/56608 shoranur – Ernakulam – Shoranur Passengers now running six days a week will be increased to Daily w.e.f. 3.7.2011.

 

C) Extension of trains

 

T.No.56318/56317 Nagercoil – Thiruvananthapuram – Nagercoil Passengers will be extended to Kochuveli. T.No.56318 Nagercoil – Kochuveli Passenger will leave Nagercoil at 07.55 hrs. and arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 09.50 hrs. Leaving Thiruvananthapuram at 09.55 hrs., the train will arrive Kochuveli at 10.20 hrs. T.No.56317 Kochuveli – Nagercoil Passenger will leave Kochuveli at 10.40 hrs. and arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 10.55 hrs.Leaving Thiruvananthapuram at 11.00 hrs., the train will arrive Nagercoil at 13.15 hrs.The trains will stop at Thiruvananthapuram Pettah between Kochuveli and Thiruvananthapuram.
