Railway Board has advised the conduct of NATION-WIDE Pension Adalat on 20.09.2023 for the benefit of Pensioners/Beneficiaries
In Southern Railway too, Pension Adalat for the year 2023 will be held on 20th September, 2023 from 10.00 hrs onwards for the benefit of Retired Pensioners/Beneficiaries. The Pension Adalat will be conducted throughout the Zone at Southern Railway Headquarters Office, at the Divisional Offices of Chennai, Tiruchchirappalli, Salem, Madurai, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram and at the Workshop Offices of Golden Rock/Ponmalai (GOC), Signal & Telecommunication Workshop at Podanur, Engineering Workshop at Arakkonam, Stores Department and Accounts Department.
Pensioners fulfilling the below mentioned requirements can attend the pension Adalat to resolve their grievances:
1. Cases of retirement on Superannuation till 30.06.2023 in which PPOs have not been issued till date.
2. Cases of Voluntary retirement till 31.03.2023, in which PPOs have not been issued till date.
3. Cases of death of Government servants till 31.03.2023, in which family pension has not been sanctioned till date.
4. Cases of death of Government servants in the performance of duty till 31.03.2023 in which only provisional/ordinary family pension has been sanctioned and family pension under CCS(EOP) Rules has been claimed.
5. Cases wherein Death certificate of the Pensioner has been submitted to pension Disbursing Bank and Family Pension not started within one month of receipt by the bank if the name of the Family Pensioner is given in the PPO.
Venue:
For pensioners who retired from Southern Railway Headquarters office, the Pension Adalat will function at “Multi Disciplinary hall, Ist Floor, Southern Railway Headquarters.
Other Pensioners can attend the Adalat at their Divisional offices/Workshops
Pensioners are requested to be in preparedness and keep the requisite documents while attending the Pension Adalat. The grievances will be attended and disposed of by the respective team consisting of Personnel Branch Officers, Accounts Officers and Settlement Staff.
