In order to clear rush of passengers during Velankanni festival, Unreserved express Special trains will be run as per the details given below
1. Extension of Train No. 06835 Karaikal – Thanjavur DEMU Unreserved express Special will run up to Tiruchchirappalli Jn. from 28.08.2023 to 08.09.2023 on both directions.
I.Train No. 06861 Thanjavur – Tiruchchirappalli DEMU Unreserved express Special will leave Thanjavur at 21.00 hrs and reach Tiruchchirappalli at 22.15 hrs, the same day
II.Train No. 06866 Tiruchchirappalli – Velankanni DEMU Unreserved express Special will leave Tiruchchirappalli at 22.50 hrs and reach Velankanni at 02.30 hrs, the next day
III.Train No.06863 Velankanni – Thanjavur DEMU Unreserved express Special will leave Velankanni at 03.05 hrs and reach Thanjavur at 05.35 hrs, the same day
These Trains have stoppages at Nagapattinam Jn., Thiruvarur Jn., Nidamangalam, Thanjavur, Budalur & Tiruverumbur.

b.) Train No. 06864 Nagapattinam – Villupuram MEMU Unreserved Express Special will leave Nagapattinam at 13.15 hrs and reach Villupuram at 17.40 hrs, the same day. The train will have stoppages at Thiruvarur Jn., Peralam Jn., Mayiladuthurai Jn., Sirkazhi, Chidambaram, Parangipettai, Cuddalore Port Jn., Tirupadripulyur and Panruti.
