The Hon’ble Chairman of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Shri M. Venkatesan, inspected Dr MGR Chennai Central Railway Station today, 18th July 2023. Shri M. Venkatesan interacted with the conservancy staff at the station and received feedback regarding pay, working conditions, insurance, safety at workplace and various facilities provided to them. Shri TP Singh, Addl Divisional Railway Manager, along with Railway Officials were present during the inspection at Dr MGR Chennai Central. Later, the Chairman met with the General Manager of Southern Railway, Shri. R.N.Singh, accompanied by the Addl General Manager, Shri Kaushal Kishore, and other Principal Heads of Departments and officials of Southern Railway.
Later, Shri M. Venkatesan met the representatives of All India Railway Safai Karamcharis Association, All India Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe Railway Employees Association and All India Other Backward Class Railway Employees Association and discussed matters pertaining to the welfare of contractual employees and conservancy staff deployed in Railways.
