Southern Railway Observes International Yoga Day

Southern Railway observed International Yoga Day today, the 21st June, 2023 through various events across the Zone. 

Shri R. N Singh, General Manager, Southern Railway inaugurated the Yoga Session at Railway Kalyana Mandapam, Perambur. Yoga Teachers and participants demonstrated the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) issued by the Ministry of Ayush with great Zeal and Enthusiasm. A dance performance o­n Yoga Theme followed

Principal Heads, other officers and staffs also participated in the Yoga Session.

The theme for this year’s International Day of Yoga 2023 is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which represents our collective aspiration for “One Earth, o­ne Family, o­ne Future”

All the six divisions of Southern Railway, i.e, Chennai, Tiruchchirappalli, Madurai, Salem, Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram and Workshops also observed International Yoga Day. Officers and staff of the divisions and Workshops attended Yoga Day events organized at the divisional headquarters and other work places.

Indian Railways observes Yoga Day every year under the guidance of the Ministry of Ayush.
