Due to derailments of Train No.12841 Shalimar – Chennai Coromondel Express and Train No.12864 Yeswantpur – Howrah Superfast Express between 18.55 hrs to 19.00 hrs at Bahanaga Bazar (25 Km from Balasore) in Kharagpur – Bhadrak section on 2nd June 2023,through running of train traffic has been affected. Rescue and Relief operations are in full swing.
Consequent to the accident, the following are the changes in the pattern of Train Services :
Trains Cancelled:
·Train No.22606 Villupuram Junction – Purulia Junction leaving Villupuram Jn at 12.15 hrs on 3rd June 2023 is cancelled
·Train No 22641 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Shalimar Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at 16.55 hrs on 3rd June 2023 is cancelled.
·Train No 12551 SMVT Bengaluru – Kamakhya AC Super Fast Express leaving SMVT Bengaluru at 08.50 hrs on 3rd June 2023 is cancelled.
·Train No 12864 SMVT Bengaluru – Howrah Junction leaving SMVT Bengaluru at 10.35 hrs on 3rd June 2023 is cancelled.
·Train No 12253 SMVT Bengaluru – Bhagalpur Anga Express leaving SMVT Bengaluru at 13.50 hrs on 3rd June 2023 is cancelled.
Train Diverted :
·Train No.22503 Kanniyakumari Terminus – Dibrugarh Vivek super fast express journey commenced on 03.06.2023 is diverted via Jharsuguda Junction
