Indian Railways deliver more than 26281 MT of LMO to the Nation
Southern Railway delivers over 3400 MT of Oxygen
for the State of Tamil Nadu since 14th May
50th Oxygen Express arrived for Tamil Nadu at Kudal Nagar
444 MT of LMO delivered on date for Tamil Nadu through 4 Oxygen express trains
As on date Southern Railway has delivered a total of 3404.85 MT of LMO for Tamil Nadu through 50 Oxygen Express trains since 14th May, 2021 when the first loaded oxygen express arrived.
Four Oxygen Express rakes carrying a total of 444 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) arrived for Tamil Nadu today (06-06-2021). This is the highest quantity of oxygen delivered to the state in a single day.
46th Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet, Chennai with 2 containers carrying 37.95 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 21:40 hours of yesterday (05-06-2021).
47th Oxygen Express loaded at Durgapur (West Bengal) for Chennai Harbour with 146.81 MT of oxygen in 7 containers arrived at the destination at 08:40 hours today (06-06-2021).
48th Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet with 6 containers carrying 128.11 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 09:40 hours today (06-06-2021)
49th Oxygen Express loaded at Container Corporation Siding at Mandir Hasaud, near Raipur (Chattisgarh) for Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet with 4 containers carrying 80 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 14:25 hours today (06-06-2021).
50th Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Kudal Nagar (Madurai) with 6 tankers carrying 89.16 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 17:17 hours today (06-6-2021)
Station wise break-up of Cummulative quantity of LMO delivered:
As of date, Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet handled 26 loaded Oxygen Express rakes carrying 1798.45 MT of LMO.
One rake each was delivered to Tondiarpet Goods Yard (30.5MT), Tiruvallur (31.4MT), Milavattan (78.82 MT),Vadipatti (79.31 MT),Tiruchchirappalli Goods Yard (75.84 MT) and Irugur Siding (80.69 MT).
Kudalnagar received four rakes with 276.94 MT while Madukkarai near Coimbatore received six Oxygen Express carrying a total of 300.64 MT of LMO. Chennai Harbour handled eight rakes delivering 652.26 MT of LMO.
As for further Oxygen Express trains, three more loaded rakes for Tamil Nadu, carrying a total of 204 MT of LMO, are in transit.
Oxygen Express for Kerala
So far, three oxygen Express trains delivered 380.2 MT of Oxygen to Kerala. All the three rakes were offloaded at Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi. The fourth Oxygen Express with 7 containers carrying 133.52 MT of LMO from Rourkela arrived at the destination at 16:00 hours of today (01-06-2021). With the arrival of this rake, Southern Railway has delivered 513.72 MT of LMO for the State of Kerala
Oxygen Express to Various States
Indian Railways has delivered more than 26281 of LMO in more than 1534 tankers to various states across the country. 376 Oxygen Expresses have completed their journey so far and brought relief to various States.
614 MT of Oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 3797 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 656 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 5790 MT in Delhi, 2212 MT in Haryana, 98 MT in Rajasthan, 3097 MT in Karnataka, 320 MT in Uttarakhand, 3405 MT in Tamil Nadu, 2804 MT in Andhra Pradesh, 225 MT in Punjab, 513.72 MT in Kerala, 2474 MT in Telangana, 38 MT in Jharkhand and 400 MT in Assam.
Running on high priority Green Corridor, Indian Railways has mapped different routes with Oxygen supply locations and keeps itself ready with any emerging need of the States. States provide tankers to the Indian Railways for bringing LMO. Running of new Oxygen is a very dynamic exercise and figures keep getting updated all the time.
