Southern Railway delivered of 3436.54 MT of LMO through 49 Oxygen Express trains for the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Three loaded Oxygen Express rakes for Tamil Nadu arrived today (05-6-2021).
43rd Oxygen Express loaded at Bhilai, Chhattisgarh for Tiruchchirappalli Goods yard with 4 containers carrying 75.84 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 7.35 hours of today (05-06-2021).
44th Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Irugur Container Siding (near Coimbatore) with 4 containers carrying 80.69 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 17:30 hours of today (05-06-2021).
45th Oxygen Express loaded at Jindal Steel Siding, Dolvi (Maharashtra) for Chennai Harbour with 3 containers carrying 56.04 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 17:50 hours of today (05-06-2021).
With this total oxygen delivered for Tamilnadu – 2922.82 MT.
As of date, Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet handled 23 loaded Oxygen Express rakes carrying 1552.39 MT of LMO.
One rake each was delivered to Tondiarpet Goods Yard (30.5MT), Tiruvallur (31.4MT), Milavattan (78.82 MT), Vadipatti (79.31 MT) ,Tiruchchirappalli Goods Yard (75.84 MT) and Irugur Siding (80.69 MT) .
Kudalnagar received three rakes with 187.78 MT while Madukkarai near Coimbatore received six Oxygen Express carrying a total of 300.64 MT of LMO. Chennai Harbour handled seven rakes delivering 505.45 MT of LMO.
As for further Oxygen Express trains, three more loaded rakes for Tamil Nadu, carrying a total of 273.92 MT of LMO, are in transit.
Oxygen Express for Kerala
So far, four oxygen Express trains delivered 513.72 MT of Oxygen to Kerala. All the four rakes were offloaded at Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi. The fourth Oxygen Express with 7 containers carrying 133.52 MT of LMO from Rourkela arrived at Vallarpadam Container Terminal on 01-06-2021.
Indian Railways has delivered more than 25629 MT of LMO in more than 1503 tankers to various states across the country. 368 Oxygen Expresses have completed their journey so far and brought relief to various States.
614 MT of Oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 3797 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 656 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 5790 MT in Delhi, 2212 MT in Haryana, 98 MT in Rajasthan, 3097 MT in Karnataka, 320 MT in Uttarakhand, 2922.82 MT in Tamil Nadu, 2602 MT in Andhra Pradesh, 225 MT in Punjab, 513.72 MT in Kerala, 2474 MT in Telangana, 38 MT in Jharkhand and 400 MT in Assam.
Running on high priority Green Corridor, Indian Railways has mapped different routes with Oxygen supply locations and keeps itself ready with any emerging need of the States. States provide tankers to the Indian Railways for bringing LMO. Running of new Oxygen is a very dynamic exercise and figures keep getting updated all the time.
