Indian Railways deliver 24840 MT of LMO to the Nation and cross 10000 MT of LMO for the Southern States Southern Railway delivers over 2700 MT of Oxygen for the State of Tamil Nadu


Southern Railway delivered 2710.25 MT of LMO for Tamil Nadu through 42 Oxygen Express trains.

41st loaded oxygen express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Chennai Harbour with 4 containers carrying 84.62 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 21:50 hours of 03-06-2021.

42nd loaded oxygen express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Madukkarai near Coimbatore with 5 tankers carrying 64.86 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 09:25 hours of 04-06-2021.

As of date, Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet handled 23 loaded Oxygen Express rakes carrying 1552.39 MT of LMO. o­ne rake each was delivered to Tondiarpet Goods Yard (30.5MT) , Tiruvallur (31.4 MT).  o­ne Oxygen Express each was delivered to Milavattan (78.82 MT), Vadipatti (79.31 MT) .  Kudalnagar received three rakes with 187.78 MT while Madukkarai near Coimbatore received six Oxygen Express carrying a total of 300.64 MT of LMO. Chennai Harbour has handled six rakes delivering 449.41 MT of LMO.

More oxygen express trains for Tamil Nadu are expected to commence their departure overnight.

Oxygen Express for Kerala

So far, four oxygen Express trains delivered 513.72 MT of Oxygen to Kerala.  All the four rakes were offloaded at Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi.  The fourth Oxygen Express with 7 containers carrying 133.52 MT of LMO from Rourkela arrived at Vallarpadam Container Terminal o­n 01-06-2021.

Southern Railway delivered a total of 3224 MT of LMO through 46 Oxygen Express trains for the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Indian Railways has delivered 24840 MT of LMO in 1463 tankers and has brought relief to 15 states across the country

614 MT of Oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 3797 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 656 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 5826 MT in Delhi, 2135 MT in Haryana, 98 MT in Rajasthan, 2870 MT in Karnataka, 320 MT in Uttarakhand, 2711 MT in Tamil Nadu, 2528 MT in Andhra Pradesh, 225 MT in Punjab, 513 MT in Kerala, 2184 MT in Telangana, 38 MT in Jharkhand and 320 MT in Assam.

Running o­n high priority Green Corridor, Indian Railways has mapped different routes with Oxygen supply locations and keeps itself ready with any emerging need of the States. States provide tankers to the Indian Railways for bringing LMO.   Running of new Oxygen is a very dynamic exercise and figures keep getting updated all the time.
