Southern Railway delivered 2861.3 MT of LMO through 41 Oxygen Express trains for the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Two Oxygen Express rakes for Tamil Nadu arrived today (02-06-2021). The 36th Oxygen Express loaded at Bhilai (Chhattisgarh) for Chennai Harbour with 4 containers carrying 74.47 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 06:25 hours of today (02-06-2021). 37th Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Chennai Port with 4 containers carrying 84.15 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 11:55 hours of today (02-06-2021).
With this total oxygen delivered for Tamilnadu – 2347.58 MT.
As of date, Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet handled 22 loaded Oxygen Express rakes carrying 1432.39 MT of LMO. one rake each was delivered to Tondiarpet Goods Yard (30.5MT) , Tiruvallur (31.4 MT), Milavattan (78.82 MT) and Vadipatti (79.31 MT) . Kudalnagar received three rakes with 187.78 MT while Madukkarai near Coimbatore received four Oxygen Express four rakes carrying a total of 203.4 MT of LMO. Chennai Harbour has handled three rakes delivering 303.98 MT of LMO.
As for further Oxygen Express trains, two more rakes for Tamil Nadu, one with 2 containers carrying 32.38 MT and the other with 2 containers carrying 38.89 MT of LMO, are in transit.
Oxygen Express for Kerala
So far, four oxygen Express trains delivered 513.72 MT of Oxygen to Kerala. All the four rakes were offloaded at Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi. The fourth Oxygen Express with 7 containers carrying 133.52 MT of LMO from Rourkela arrived at Vallarpadam Container Terminal on 01-06-2021.
