Southern Railway delivered 2015.04 MT of LMO for Tamil Nadu through 33 Oxygen Express trains.
Two more loaded Oxygen Express rakes for Tamil Nadu arrived today (31-5-2021). 32nd Oxygen Express loaded at Jindal Steel Siding, Dolvi (Maharashtra) for Chennai Harbour with 3 containers carrying 62.08 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 07:20 hours of today (31-5-2021). 33rd Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Madukkarai (Coimbatore) with 5 tankers carrying 65.34 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 9:05 hours of today (31-5-2021).
As of date, Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet handled 22 loaded Oxygen Express rakes carrying 1432.39 MT of LMO. one rake each was delivered to Tondiarpet Goods Yard (30.5 MT) , Tiruvallur (31.4 MT) and Chennai Harbour (62.08 MT). one Oxygen Express each was delivered to Milavattan (78.82 MT), Vadipatti (79.31 MT) . Kudalnagar received two rakes with 97.14 MT while Madukkarai near Coimbatore received four Oxygen Express rakes carrying a total of 203.4 MT of LMO.
As for further Oxygen Express trains, two more rakes for Tamil Nadu are in transit, one with 4 tankers carrying 83.28 MT and the other with 6 tankers carrying 90.64 MT of LMO.
Oxygen Express for Kerala
So far, three oxygen Express trains delivered 380.2 MT of Oxygen to Kerala. All the three rakes were offloaded at Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi. The third Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Vallarpadam Container Terminal arrived at the destination on 27- 5-2021.
One more loaded Oxygen Express for Kerala is in transit with 7 containers carrying 133.52 MT of LMO from Rourkela.
Southern Railway delivered 2395.24 MT of LMO through 36 Oxygen Express trains for the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Indian Railways has delivered more than 21939 MT of LMO in more than 1304 tankers to various states across the country. 321 Oxygen Expresses have completed their journey so far and brought relief to various States.
614 MT of Oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 3797 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 656 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 5527 MT in Delhi, 2034 MT in Haryana, 98 MT in Rajasthan, 2115 MT in Karnataka, 320 MT in Uttarakhand, 2015.04 MT in
Tamil Nadu, 1896 MT in Andhra Pradesh, 225 MT in Punjab, 380.2 MT in Kerala, 1978 MT in Telangana, 38 MT in Jharkhand and 240 MT in Assam.
Running on high priority Green Corridor, Indian Railways has mapped different routes with Oxygen supply locations and keeps itself ready with any emerging need of the States. States provide tankers to the Indian Railways for bringing LMO. Running of new Oxygen is a very dynamic exercise and figures keep getting updated all the time.
