Southern Railway delivered 2267.82 MT of LMO through 34 Oxygen Express trains for the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Two more loaded Oxygen Express rakes for Tamil Nadu arrived today (30-5-2021). The 30th Oxygen Express loaded at Bhilai (Chhattisgarh) for Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet with 4 containers carrying 73.17 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 11:55 hours today (30-5-2021). The 31st Oxygen Express loaded at Jindal Steel Siding, Dolvi (Maharashtra) for Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet with 4 containers carrying 80.44 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 15:30 hours today (30-5-202).
With this, 31 loaded Oxygen Express trains have delivered 1887.62 MT of LMO for Tamil Nadu.
As of date, Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet handled 22 loaded Oxygen Express rakes carrying 1432.39 MT of LMO. one rake each was delivered to Tondiarpet Goods Yard (30.5 MT) and Tiruvallur (31.4 MT). one Oxygen Express each was delivered to Milavattan (78.82 MT), Vadipatti (79.31 MT) . Kudalnagar received two rakes with 97.14 MT while Madukkarai near Coimbatore received three Oxygen Express rakes carrying a total of 138.06 MT of LMO.
As for further Oxygen Express trains, two more rakes for Tamil Nadu are in transit, one with 5 tankers carrying 65.34 MT and the other with 3 containers carrying 62.08 MT of LMO.
Oxygen Express for Kerala
So far, three oxygen Express trains delivered 380.2 MT of Oxygen to Kerala. All the three rakes were offloaded at Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi. The third Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Vallarpadam Container Terminal arrived at the destination on 27- 5-2021.
Indian Railways has delivered more than 21392 MT of LMO in more than 1274 tankers to various states across the country. 313 Oxygen Expresses have completed their journey so far and brought relief to various States.
614 MT of Oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 3797 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 656 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 5476 MT in Delhi, 2023 MT in Haryana, 98 MT in Rajasthan, 2115 MT in Karnataka, 320 MT in Uttarakhand, 1887.62 MT in Tamil Nadu, 1738 MT in Andhra Pradesh, 225 MT in Punjab, 380.2 MT in Kerala, 1858 MT in Telangana, 38 MT in Jharkhand and 240 MT in Assam.
Running on high priority Green Corridor, with a highest sense of urgency,Indian Railways has mapped different routes with Oxygen supply locations and keeps itself ready with any emerging need of the States. States provide tankers to the Indian Railways for bringing LMO. Running of new Oxygen is a very dynamic exercise and figures keep getting updated all the time.
