Southern Railway delivers 1482.99 MT of LMO for Tamil Nadu through 22 Oxygen Express trains.
The twenty-third loaded Oxygen Express from Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand with 84.99 MT in 4 containers arrived at Inland Container Depot, Tondiarpet at 23.00 hours of 26-5-2021.
The twenty-fourth Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Kudal Nagar (Madurai) with 5 tankers carrying 66.12 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 13:10 hours of today (27-5-2021).
The twenty-fifth Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Madukkarai (Coimbatore) with 6 tankers carrying 89.28 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 13:57 hours of today (27-5-2021).
Another Oxygen Express rake for Tamil Nadu dispatched from Jindal Steel Siding, Dolvi, Maharastra with 4 containers carrying 70.31 MT of LMO is in transit.
Oxygen Express for Kerala
Kerala received its first loaded oxygen express carrying 6 Oxygen containers (117.9 MT) dispatched from Tata Steel Siding in Kalinganagar, Odisha on 16-05-2021 at Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi. The second Oxygen Express for Kerala dispatched from Rourkela carrying 128.66 MT in 7 containers arrived at Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi on 22-5-2021.
The third Oxygen Express loaded at Rourkela (Odisha) for Vallarpadam Container Terminal, Kochi with 7 Containers carrying 133.64 MT of LMO arrived at the destination at 01:09 hours of today (27- 5-2021).
These three Oxygen Express trains delivered 380.2 MT of Oxygen to Kerala.
Indian Railways has delivered more than 18980 MT of LMO in more than 1141 tankers to various states across the country. 284 Oxygen Expresses have completed their journey so far and brought relief to various States. 614 MT of Oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 3731 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 656 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 5077 MT in Delhi, 1967 MT in Haryana, 98 MT in Rajasthan, 1653 MT in Karnataka, 320 MT in Uttarakhand, 1482.99 MT in Tamil Nadu, 1190 MT in Andhra Pradesh, 225 MT in Punjab, 380.2 MT in Kerala, 1312 MT in Telangana, 38 MT in Jharkhand and 160 MT in Assam.
Running on high priority Green Corridor, with a highest sense of urgency, Railways is creating new standards and unprecedented benchmarks in running of Oxygen Express Freight Trains. The average speed of these critical Freight trains is way above 55 in most cases over long distances. Running of new Oxygen is a very dynamic exercise and figures keep getting updated all the time.
