Green Initiative by Southern Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation


Southern Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (SRWWO)  in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry Ladies Organization (FICCI FLO) launched a plantation drive across southern regions under the leadership of Mrs. Sonia Singh, President of Southern Railway Women’s Headquarters Organisation.

The drive began o­n 2nd July 2025 with a tree plantation at Aashraya School for Special Children run by SRWWO at Perambur.  Smt. Sonia Singh, President, SRWHO graced the event as Chief guest.  Smt. Rekha Kaushal, Vice-President, SRWHO and other members of Southern Railway Women’s Headquarters Organisation actively participated in the event. Members from both organizations planted a variety of saplings, marking a joint step towards a greener tomorrow.

Students of Ashraya School joined the initiative with great enthusiasm, contributing to the spirit of environmental awareness and green action.
