Shri R. N. The facility proved invaluable during the COVID-19 pandemic and now stands as the first of its kind in Indian Railways, offering real-time diagnostics and consultation through live streaming of reports such as ECGs and X-rays.
In his address, the General Manager stated that this pioneering initiative will transform patient care by making expert consultation accessible from even the remotest corners of the zone.
During the demonstration, the General Manager witnessed a live tele-consultation from Divisional Railway Hospital, Madurai, and appreciated the coordinated efforts of the Medical and S&T departments in implementing the facility. He directed officials to ensure high-speed internet connectivity across all Health Units for seamless operation and also inspected the Digital Queue Management System and Digital Signage Boards newly installed at the OPD block of Railway Hospital/Perambur.
