For the benefit of passengers, in order to facilitate hassle-free current booking of Vande Bharat Express trains at enroute stations, Southern Railway has put in place a systemic improvement. For eight services of Vande Bharat trains originating in the zone, certain modifications have been effected in the Passenger Reservation System with effect from 17th July 2025.
For the 8 Vande Bharat trains originating from Southern Railway, current reservations can be done at enroute stations upto 15 minutes before the departure.
This facility was limited earlier, curtailing the passengers from booking from enroute stations once the train leaves Source station.
With the new system in place, such vacant accommodations will now be made available for current booking of Vande Bharat Trains at enroute stations, significantly benefitting passengers and enabling better occupancy of the train.
This modification is being done in the Passenger Reservation System with effect from 17.07.2025 for the following 8 Vande Bharat trains of Southern Railway will benefit passengers:
1. 20631 Mangaluru Central-Thiruvananthapuram Central Vande Bharat Express
2. 20632 Thiruvananthapuram Central- Mangaluru Central Vande Bharat Express
3. 20627 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express
4. 20628 Nagercoil - Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express
5. 20642 Coimbatore-Bengaluru Cantt. Vande Bharat Express
6. 20646 Mangaluru Central-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express
7. 20671 Madurai-Bengaluru Cantt. Vande Bharat Express
8. 20677 Dr MGR Chennai Central-Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express
