Tambaram RPF secure high value gold ornaments left over by passenger

On 10thSeptember, 2018, RPF Helpline 182 received a call from a lady passenger travelling by Chennai Egmore –Tirunelveli Nellai Express.It was informed that the passenger who boarded the train at Tambaram had left over her bag containing 60 sovereign gold ornaments at Platform No.8 of Tambaram station.

 

The 182 Helpline crew immediately alerted the field RPF personnel at Tambaram.Mr.Rajesh Yadav, o­n duty RPF constable at Tambaram rushed to Platform No.8 and swiftly retrieved the left over bag. The bag with high value gold ornaments was handed over to the lady passenger .The passenger profoundly thanked the RPF Helpline crew and the duty constable who traced the bag.She also whole heartedly appreciated the good work done by the RPF team in swiftly retrieving the left over valuables.
